About Maggie Meath

Maggie Meath is a Connecticut-based singer, performer, and director whose work spans musical theatre, live music, and collaborative performance.

Maggie began performing at a young age throughout Fairfield County with the Fairfield County Children’s Choir, Fairfield Rotary Club’s Follies, Fairfield Teen Theatre, and the Children’s Company at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre. As a young singer, she frequently performed the National Anthem at public and sporting events, including Fairfield University basketball games. She studied voice with Marianne Challis and trained in music theatre performance at American University. AU Credits include Rosa Bud in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Rapunzel in Into the Woods, and Pennywise in Urinetown.

After college, Maggie returned to the area and continued pursuing her love of theatre through Bridgeport Theatre Company (now Fairfield Center Stage), appearing as Joanne in Rent, Mayzie in Seussical, and Dragon in Shrek. Additional acting credits include Grace in Annie, directed by Frank Root, and Mrs. Pinkerton in Pinkalicious, both at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre, and Narrator in Murder Ballad at The Bijou Theatre, directed by Phillip Bettencourt. She previously portrayed Miss Honey in Fairfield Center Stage’s Matilda and will portray Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar this March.

In addition to performing, Maggie is an accomplished theatre director with a wide range of credits across Fairfield County. Her work includes Godspell, Fame, Dial M for Murder, and The Mystery of Edwin Drood at The Bijou Theatre; Dracula at Bridgeport Theatre Company and Reefer Madness for Fairfield Center Stage; Harry Connick Jr.’s The Happy Elf (regional debut) at Town Players of New Canaan; and Godspell at Westport Community Theatre, where she also served on the board. She has also directed numerous productions for camps and youth theatre programs throughout the region.

Alongside her theatrical work, Maggie is an experienced ensemble and ceremonial singer. Her choral training includes singing in Catholic and Presbyterian church choirs, as well as secular choral and solo settings. She is frequently engaged as a soloist for weddings and funerals; bringing versatility, musical sensitivity, and a deep respect for the significance of these moments.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Maggie shifted her focus more fully toward live music and her singing career. She performs professionally with the bands Note to Self and Five to One and recorded and performed with Gregory Frost and the Dark Arts on the original album Paradise Lost, which debuted at Sacred Heart University’s Community Theatre. Additional collaborations include Generation Blues Band, Euphoria party band, and special guest appearances with Beyond the Wall, a premier Pink Floyd tribute band.

In addition to her performance career, Maggie has spent over two decades in arts education and administration and has taught private voice lessons for more than ten years. She is a proud mom of two. Whether onstage, in rehearsal, or in the studio; she is driven by connection, collaboration, and the expressive power of the human voice.
